Breaking news – the results from this year’s Great Taste Awards are in and we’ve won 2 more awards! Meaning we now have 5 flavours with accolades from the most prestigious Food & Drink awards in the UK.
We were awarded 1 Great Taste star for both Ginger Boost and Love Honey, two of our newest flavours that have been very popular with our customers.
Here’s what the Great Taste Awards judges thought about Love Honey
“This has a pale rose colouring with a metallic shimmer. There is a very appealing nose of the most pure, unsynthetic rose oil any of us had ever smelled.
This followed through onto a runny honey palate with fresh, fragrant rose oil flavour. We all said it reminded us of Turkish delight – a premium version! The finish is fresh, not cloying and delicious. A totally unique product for upmarket drizzling.”

“There is a lovely rose scent on the nose, and beautiful genteel colour. The rose flavour is well-judged, and still allows the honey to come through. We imagined so many uses for this, and appreciated the quality of the ingredients and the crafting of this delicious product.”

“This is an adorable pale pink shade – and the consistency, aroma and flavour bring immediate connotations of melted Turkish Delight. The character of Damascene rose shines bright and clear, albeit the effect of the honey base is soft and sweet. The acacia honey is essentially a base for resonant rose, and there is little overt acacia honey character.
The star from us is for the clarity and headiness of Damascene rose. We wouldn’t spread the product on toast or waffles, but can imagine its use in cocktails or drizzled over something like Baklava.”

“This has a thicker consistency with a powerful aroma, turmeric-forward, which develops on the palate with the warmth of the ginger coming through well too. It is a good balance of flavours and we could imagine using it in various culinary ways as well as an immune booster.”

“This is a brightly coloured, well-set honey with prominent notes of turmeric on the nose and a pleasant mouthfeel. The honey is delicately sweet and slightly granular with a gingery finish.”
Great Taste, the world’s most trusted food and drink awards are organised annually by the Guild of Fine Food. Specialist judges are enlisted from all over the world and the winners are chosen through a series of blind tasting and ratings.
It has been described as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world and the ‘epicurean equivalent of the Booker prize’. Simply put, the Great Taste logo is the sign you can trust when buying food and drink in your local, quality retailer.
This year, nearly 3,500 companies from 115 countries entered the competition, submitting 13,672 products for review. The UK alone contributed 8,008 products from 2,528 companies. Each entry was meticulously blind-tasted by the Guild’s expert judging panel of over 500 food critics, chefs, recipe creators, buyers, retailers, and other specialists.
